This Date In Rock History: 25 November

On this date in 1976, The Band played its last concert as an original quintet. Now famously known as "The Last Waltz" (original concert poster pictured above), the show took place at Bill Graham's Winterland Ballroom, an old ice skating rink located in San Francisco's Pacific Heights neighborhood. Immortalized in the Martin Scorsese documentary, The Band was joined by a Who's Who of the music world at the time.

Just in time for the 33rd anniversary and holiday listening, Wolfgang's Vault is streaming the entire, four hour show unedited for the first time! (Note: Listening is free, but you must register simply with e-mail address and password.) So, as Van The Man says, turn up your radio.
